Pilgrim Hill Association Inc
We exist to make disciples for Jesus through hospitality and art. Our mission is to imitate Jesus in showing and telling the Gospel, in order to transform everyone into maturity in Christ.
We are a non-profit religious charity, incorporated in Tasmania. Our membership is open to those who support our goals.
Pilgrim Dinners are free dinners with a Gospel discussions, for travellers from any background. We run them weekly from October through May. More details here.
The Artist Residency
Coming soon: We have designed the Pilgrim Hill Artist Residency to cultivate Christian reflection in the arts. The Residency will be open to Christians who have demonstrated technical skill in their artistic field and been attentive to the intersection of theology and art. Artists will live and work on Pilgrim Hill and share in the life of the hostel.
Coming soon: Pilgrim Hill will be a family-run hostel for travellers in Tasmania’s Huon Valley. We will offer inexpensive, sustainable accommodation for 36 guests, in a retreat setting among 25 acres of native forrest.
Our mission is to minister through hospitality. Our work combines showing and telling the Gospel, which includes modeling the Kingdom through practical care for physical needs and openly sharing the Good News about Jesus.
As one part of this work, we will invite guests each night to join a dinner and Gospel event. Events will range from lectures and film nights, to concerts, dances, and exhibitions, to show the Christian faith for what it is - a comprehensive worldview, which transforms every area of life.
Pilgrim Hill is managed by Peirce + Christina Baehr. The Baehrs will live on site and work together with a small staff and volunteers to run the hostel.
After the initial construction and establishment costs, Pilgrim Hill is designed to be financially self-sustaining and ecologically sustainable.
